KUD "Saobraćajac" - Vosnia Herzegovina

KUD “Saobraćajac”, founded in Sarajevo in 1965, is a cultural and artistic society with more than half a century of tradition and dedication to artistic expression. Over the years, the ensemble has established itself as a symbol of quality and authenticity in preserving and promoting the rich folklore heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through its performances, the group represents its country with pride, conveying messages of peace, friendship, and intercultural understanding. KUD “Saobraćajac” has taken part in over 35 international folklore festivals and has completed more than 40 tours abroad, with appearances in countries such as Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Greece, and many others. Membership in the ensemble offers participants the opportunity to explore cultural diversity, preserve national traditions, travel across Europe, and form lasting friendships with people from all over the world. Today, the society counts around 120 dancers who perform more than eight traditional choreographies (including dances from Jajce, Northeastern Bosnia, the Grmeč region, wedding customs from Posavina, Linđo, etc.), as well as about 60 adult members who have proudly represented the ensemble at festivals around the world, earning numerous awards and recognitions.

"Tarumbeta Africa" - Kenya

“Tarumbeta Africa” Cultural Group was established in 2005 and is officially registered under the Department of Culture and Social Services in the Ministry of Gender, Sports, and Culture. It is also recognized as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) based in Kariobangi North, Eastlands, Nairobi. The group’s primary objective is to raise awareness within the community through music and art, using edutainment and infotainment to inform, inspire, and empower. By leveraging the power of music, “Tarumbeta Africa” mobilizes youth to engage in community development initiatives focused on empowerment, social cohesion, and poverty reduction.
Currently, the group consists of over 40 active members, both male and female, who are united by a shared passion for cultural expression and social change. Their performances incorporate traditional and contemporary music and dance, as well as community-based theater and workshops. “Tarumbeta Africa” envisions a society where young people are brought together to share cultural values through dance, drama, and social interaction. Through their activities, the group promotes social integration, peaceful coexistence, and awareness on crucial issues such as life skills, drug abuse, and HIV/AIDS. Its mission is to bring together members of the community to foster peaceful cohesion and inclusivity. By promoting national and international understanding through community theater, music, and dance, Tarumbeta Cultural Group plays a vital role in preserving cultural heritage while building bridges across communities.
