HISTORY Previous Meetings
- In 2016, the “1st Cultural Meeting in Larissa” took place with the participant groups “Cununa” from Bistrita, Romania, “BokretaMuveszetiIskola” from Zemblin, Hungary as well as the dance groups from the host Associations.
- In 2017, the 2nd Folk Fest acquired its own identity with the participant dancing groups “Struguras” from Moldova, “Iskra” from Bulgaria and of course Greece with the host dance groups.
- In 2018, the “Cultural Meeting in Larissa” became an established institution. From August 27th to September 2nd, the dance groups “Tangra” from Bulgaria, “Ru Maccature” from Italy and “Dabka Stars” from Israel swamped the city of Larissa and the wider area with dance and music.
- In 2019, the “4th Cultural Meeting in Larissa” took place with the participant groups “Nikola Tesla” from Obrenovac, Serbia, “FS Lipovec” from Slovakia, “Mita Rory” from Paraguay as well as the dance groups from the host Associations.
- In 2022, after a long time due to Corona virus, the “5th Cultural Meeting in Larissa is back! From August 29th to September 2nd, the dance groups “Skowronki” from Poland, “Conjunto Continental Tonjariki” from Chile and “Nostos” from Cyprus swamped the city of Larissa and the wider area with dance and music.
- In 2023, the “6th Cultural Meeting in Larissa is back! From August 28th to September 1st, the dance groups “Ballet Folclorico Maya” from Mexico and “Aborigen” from Uruguayswamped the city of Larissa and the wider area with dance and music.
